King Alumna Sarah Bird Ordained as Presbyterian Minister
Glade Spring, Va., native Sarah Bird always loved the church and knew it would be significant in her life. On Oct. 19, 2014, Bird was ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Dogwood Sculpture Donated to King University in Memory of Alumnus Max Weaver
With a chill in the air, family members of the late Max Weaver gathered at Nicewonder Hall on the main campus of King University on Oct. 22 for the installation of a unique sculpture with special meaning.

Remembering Dale Brown
When we talked about teaching, Dale Brown liked to quote his friend and mentor Frederick Buechner: “I have always believed, it is not so much their subjects that the great teachers teach as it is themselves …  it is they themselves who leave the deeper mark” (Now and Then, p. 12).

Dogwood Weekend Moving to April 10-12, 2015
King University’s annual Dogwood Weekend is moving, but only slightly. The 89th Dogwood Weekend was originally scheduled for the weekend of April 17-19, and is being moved back to April 10-12.
