Young Named as Asst Director of Recruitment for Tri-Cities & Southwest Va.

Mary Young was recently promoted to the position of assistant director of recruitment for Graduate & Professional Studies (GPS) for King College. Young’s recruitment efforts will remain centered in the Tri-Cities and Southwest Virginia region.

“Mary is an excellent communicator, who brings vast sales and higher education experience to this position, said Mona Salyer, director of recruitment for Graduate & Professional Studies for King.”

Young began her career at King as an admissions representative for King’s GPS program serving the Tri-Cities and Southwest Virginia region. Prior to coming to King, she served as an adjunct professor for Northeast State Community College for fifteen years.

Young received her bachelor’s degree in English from East Tennessee State University. She anticipates completion of her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from King in May 2012. She is a member of the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce and served as a member of the Board of Trustees for three years at Celebration Church.
